Dim & Dark Parking Garage Gets New Light

The entrance of a parking garage undergoing renovations had a significant amount of conduit and light damage. This project saw the removal of 12 fluorescent lights, the installation of 16 new LED lights, and the replacement of 300' of conduit.

We were called out to a parking garage in the Cleveland area. The garage in question was undergoing structural rehabilitation resulting in significant damage to the existing lights and conduit. Garage customers started complaining about the amount of light at the entrance and the first turn of the garage.

We worked with management to craft a scope of work that was respectful of the limited budget. In total we were able to repair, re-support, replace, and relight the entrance of the garage. The result was the removal of (12) fluorescent lights, the installation of (16) new LED lights, and the replacement of 300' of conduit. From green light to start work to completion the project took (5) days. The impact on operations was minor traffic at the entrance and a few less parking spaces in the entrance area.

The conduit is now out of the way and protected, live wires that were hanging unprotected are now in conduit and protected, and the garage is better lit. We were thankful for the call out and the chance to improve ascetics and public safety.
